Warehousing: Distroff Engineering supplies ECG with Generators
Distroff Engineering Ltd was awarded a contract to supply ECG with generators. Mr Agyei, the chief accountant at Distroff Engineering approached NDK to assist in financing the contract. Distroff 
had however been able to a payment arrangement with the German suppliers of the generators. Thus a letter of Credit ( L.C.) would be used to pay for the actual good and NDK was approached to help with clearing the goods.
NDK gave Mr Agyei the necessary forms to complete the forms on behalf of the company. After confirming the contracts with ECG and ensuring that the the order with the German company meets the ECG standards, and an assessment was done. Distroff presented documents on their company as well as collateral and the ususal importation documents such as packing lists, bills of lading etc. ECG also agreed to make payment in the joint names of NDK and Distroff Engineering upon delivery of the goods.
When the goods arrived at the harbour, NDK's clearing agent laiaised with Distroff Engineering and the goods were cleared and delivered straight to ECG.
ECG made payment to NDK in accordance with the terms of the contract and paid by the stipulated credit period. NDK reimbursed Distroff after the loan was paid off.
Distroff Engineering and Mr Agyei now know that NDK is a viable partner who can be called upon whenever they have contracts and orders to compelete.
